Nigersaurus was a relatively small sauropod first named in 1999. At around 30 feet in length and 3 tons in weight, Nigersaurus may have been small for a sauropod, but was still rather large compared to modern land animals. The distinctive jaws and short neck would indicate a feeding range fairly low to the ground. These dinosaurs roamed across Africa during the Cretaceous around 105-115 million years ago.
