Australovenator is one of the best understood carnivores from Australia. This killer measured over 16-20 feet in length and weighed 1,000-1,600 pounds, making it the largest theropod from Australia known from good remains. Australovenator had large hand claws over 5 inches long and these were probably it's primary weapons. This theropod could also hit a top speed of nearly 30 miles per hour. Australovenator would have stalked Australia roughly 100 million years ago.
