Protoceratops was an early ceratopsian from Asia. At 6-9 ft long and about 400-500 lbs, it was one of the smaller herbivores in the area. It also did not have any horns on it's head or frill. It would have been relatively easy prey for predators like Velociraptor and the tyrannosaurs Tarbosaurus and Alectrosaurus. Protoceratops lived about 80 million years ago.
