Magyarosaurus was one of the smallest sauropods that ever lived. Adults reached a mere 15-20 feet in length and weighed no more than 1-2 tons. Due to their relatively small size, scientists first thought Magyarosaurus was a juvenile. However, studies on the bone growth of this dinosaur showed they were adults. Magyarosaurus was likely small due to island dwarfism. Magyarosaurus lived in Europe about 80 million years ago.
