Ornithocheirus was one of the larger pterosaurs. With wingspans averaging around 20 feet, it has been suggested to possibly reach an even greater size of 26 feet. Evidence for a size of this magnitude is, however, scanty at best and based on related animals. Ornithocheirus had distinctive crests on the end of it's beak and also had sharp teeth lining it's jaws. Ornithocheirus lived in Europe and South America roughly 100 million years ago.
