Yangchuanosaurus was an average sized theropod. At 26-30 feet long and 2-3 tons, it would have been one of the top predators in it's environment. Like it's cousin Allosaurus, Yangchuanosaurus had long teeth and deadly claws. This combination made it a very efficient predator. Yangchuanosaurus lived in Asia. However, some consider the carnivore Metriacanthosaurus to be a species of Yanchuanosaurus, so that would mean it lived in Europe too. This predator lived about 160 million years ago.
