Saurosuchus, a cousin of Postosuchus, was the apex predator of South America 230 million years ago. At 20 feet long and 1,200 pounds, it was as big, if not bigger, than any predatory dinosaur in the area. This carnivore had a massive head with large teeth. Saurosuchus was seen in the documentary Dinosaur Revolution.
