Eustreptospondylus was an average sized megalosaurid. Although the only specimen is about 16 feet long and 1,000 pounds, it is a juvenile. Adults were probably around 23 feet long and 1 ton, if not bigger. This carnivore would have been one of the top predators in it's home range. Eustreptospondylus lived about 165 million years ago in Europe.
