Spinosaurus, one of the largest land predators ever, has been shrouded in mystery for decades. However, starting in 2014, we got a better idea of what this dinosaur was like. It's size estimate has been somewhat narrowed down to 46-50 feet in length with a weight of 5-7 tons. Clearly, it was absolutely huge. Spinosaurus also seems to have had short legs, long arms, and a paddle shaped tail perfect for swimming. Spinosaurus may have also had some limited binocular vision which would help while fishing. This strange dinosaur had a tall sail, the exact function of which is still being debated. Spinosaurus was, at least, semi-aquatic and specialized in fishing. Spinosaurus lived in Africa about 93-97 million years ago.
